Just Stuff

I guess it's been only 2 weeks since my last post, but it seems longer. I found a few pictures to share, so I thought I would post those.

First is a picture of Addie, her cousin Darien Heward, and her second cousin Landon Thurgood. This was actually on Austyn's birthday. Emily came over to help us celebrate and she happened to have a couple extra cousins with her. We all had a fun time having dinner & playing at McDonalds, then cake and ice cream at our place after that.

One of Addie's favorite things to do, we've found, is shredding paper. Of course, I am always closely supervising this, but here are a few pictures of her with the shredder.

I was finally able to get a copy of a picture of me with all my sisters. This was from this past summer just after Melissa Mayo's baby blessing. Aren't we colorful?!?!

Austyn, as you may know, is a fan of all comic characters. So, for Christmas he actually got a Darth Vader costume, as well as an Iron Man mask. He, of course, wanted me to take his picture in these costumes, so here he is. (Okay, I guess I don't have the picture of him with his whole Darth Vader costume, so this will have to do for now.)

As for other stuff, Ryan just finished his truck driving school and passed his test today, so he now has his CDL license. Now, if only he had a job. Hopefully this license will open a few more doors in that area. :-)

The last week has been pretty mild, weather wise, with an average of 45 for several days now. It has been nice to have some of the snow and ice melt off our driveway and streets. This has also minimized the amount of muddy, wet shoes and boots at our front door. Hopefully this weather will hold out until we make our trip to California in 3 weeks. (Soooooo looking forward to that trip!!)

As always, I've been cleaning up and cleaning out, but for some reason it just doesn't seem to improve much overall. I can't figure out why I can never get to the bottom of the piles on my desk. I sort, file and throw away, but I just can't get rid of it. :-(

Quite disappointed about gas prices on the rise again. I was really hoping those low prices would hold out for my trip to Cali. Who knows . . . . . . maybe we'll get another drop in the next couple of weeks.

Hard to believe, but Addie is going to be 3 years old in 4 weeks. I really wish she was talking more by now, still a lot of screaming and pointing, but there is improvement. Potty trained would be an added bonus, but she is still showing no interest in that area.

Thankfully my work has been holding steady. The overall work load has been really low, but I've been able to get the work I need.

Well, the smell of burnt popcorn is now drifting through the house, so I better see what the kids are up to. Byeeeeee!!! -->> Jewels :)
