The Pumpkin Patch

Finally, a weekend without work! So, we set out on a new and exciting adventure . . . . getting our Halloween pumpkins from a pumpkin patch. The kids Loved it and it was fun watching them. Sometimes I forget how indecisive they can be :-) I was able to get a couple cute pictures to share. They even had a special "picture place," which is where I got the shot of all the kids together. I think we will definitely do this again next year!

We have had a beautiful week of weather, and the outlook for this week is ideal. The kids will go back to school next Monday so things will be a lot quieter around here then.

I don't know what the problem was, but we all seemed to get a late start today. I snoozed my alarm at 4:30 and did not get up until 6:00. Even though I had checked Ryan's alarm before I went to bed, for some reason it did not go off at 6:25, so I had to wake him up at 7:00 and he was quickly out the door. I don't know why Andrew went back to sleep after his alarm, but since I did not realize he hadn't left, he did not wake up again until 8:00 and totally missed his first class of the day. The system I connect to for my work was having problems this morning as well, so that has put me behind as well. So, we are all off to a slow start this week. Hopefully things improve as the week goes on.

Well, Alexia and Ashley are down here, and Austyn and Addie are being very quiet upstairs, so I better go check on things. Adalyn is continually finding trouble around every corner these days. She is repeatedly emptying my sock drawer in search of candy. (Apparently she thinks the cough drops are candy, that is, until she actually sucks on one for a minute.) Yesterday, she found that if she pulls the cushions off the couch, she can find all kinds of little things, along with pens, pencils, crayons, all of her favorites! With the help of a careless sibling, she can gain access to the bathroom, where she likes to pull out all the toilet paper and put the toothbrushes into the toilet :-{ Anyway, like I said, I better see what they're up to.
