We are listening to the radio on the way to school and the song "Teenage Dream" by Katy Perry comes on . . . .
ALEXIA: Did she just say "You think I'm funny when I punch the wall?"
ME: No . . . she said "You think I'm funny when I get the punch line wrong."
ALEXIA: What's a punch line?
ME: It's the "funny" part at the end of a joke. . . Here's an example . . Knock Knock
ALEXIA: Who's there?
ME: Boo
ALEXIA: Boo Who?
ME: Ummmm . . . Are you a ghost?
(At this point both Alexia and Austyn are laughing hysterically)
ME: Wait, it wasn't supposed to be funny, I got the punch line wrong.
(We then arrive at the school and they get out, still laughing hysterically)
At least they started the school day with a smile;)

LOL! I have to agree with your kids (and Katy Perry). Sometimes it is funnier when the punchline is wrong. :)
